Protest:Lagos State Npower Volunteers appeal to government for job permanency
On Tuesday,March 3,2020, 2016 and 2017 Npower Volunteers,Lagos State branch protested at LTV Station, Alausa for Job permanency. The volunteers,after working for two years plus, appealed for job permanency. Meanwhile,the protest started around 9:am where the federal government contract staff protested with cardboards and banners demanding for job consideration.
However, the deputy governor,Femi Hamzat attended to the protesters but requested them to formalize it by writing the government. The spoke person for the Npower volunteers Felix Ayorinde obliged to the request but insisted that strike which they started before the protest will continue.
N-power is a federal government empowerment scheme for youths. It was establish in 2016 by Buhari to reduce unemployment in Nigeria. It has two batches, 2016 and 2017 set.
